“Best-selling” books may not always be the “best written”, not that I’ve published literature before! But the same goes for the internet that we’re either paying for with cash or personal data; we get the “truth we like”, not necessarily the cold facts. Moreover, without technical training, a list of citations may look like just an index, not necessarily an impressive list of experiments backing an argument/concept. I guess good scientists/nutritionists have to get effective at communicating, just as you are doing, so at least quality information is available.
