So clearly selenium supplementation can indeed have an effect, if only restricted to a sub-population according to one of the 2 studies I cited in which there are more, which brazil nuts have been shown to provide (Se). Obviously brazil nuts have not been directly tested in this disease so what I have referred to in the original article here is hypothesis on the potential of brazil nuts, the entire crux of the article, which would have to be experimentally verified as I stated repeatedly and concluded.
